Hikari Inoue – Sony’s new singer
Sony will debut the girl who hold second place of “Animax Grand Prix 2008″, the 15 years-old Hikari Inoue, she lost to HIMEKA last year. Usually, only the winner gets a chance to become a professional singer but maybe Sony saw future in that girl. In my opinion, I think that she is young because 15 years-old is a good age to debut and her artist life will last more. In addition, she is a Japanese and she won’t get trouble with language like HIMEKA (poor girl) and Sony may see potential in her voice since she just 15 years-old.
Anyway, Hikari Inoue’s debut single will replace pe’zmoku’s “Ano Kaze ni Notte” to be the second ending theme of Valkyria Chronicles. The song is called “Hitotsu no Negai” (One Wish) and is scheduled to be released on August 5th. There is no information about the producer that she is working with. Sony chose good producers for the two winners: TAKUYA of JUDY AND MARY for Shuhei Kita and Tokita of Sukima Switch for HIMEKA. She will debut under SME Visuals label, Sony’s sub-label for soundtrack album and the same label of 2007 winner’s Shuhei Kita.
Just a little more information, Shuhei Kita transfered from Aniplex to SOLID VOX, the same agency of Aki Misato, Masaki Endo and Yoshiki Fukuyama from JAM Project. That is why he is so quiet this year because a transfer takes a lot of time and I wonder if he is changing his record label to Lantis too since his official website removed Sony’s artists template for discography.
I wonder who will win this year “Animax Grand Prix”.
